i am a chemical engineer by training. pursued my msc at tu delft, after which moved to the group as a phd student.

i'm a chemist by training who always wanted to combine theory and experiment and with the advent of machine learning and ai applications in the chemical sciences, that is more feasible than ever. my research in lamalab revolves around themes such as: chemical foundation models, universal chemical representation, virtual lab environments for reinforcement learning, and open-ended explorations of chemical space through active learning and lab automation.

i am a computer scientist by training interested in developing computational tools to accelerate scientific dicovery. my current research interests is to explore how to best represent molecules and generate new ones with desired properties.
